Yesterday I posted about some owl hats that I crocheted and mentioned that using the same pattern I made this minion hat. My son is totally into minions after seeing Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. (In fact, I am working on a minion costume for Halloween! His little sister is going to be Agnes so they will be a little matchy-matchy.)
The yarn I found that was the right color was also 100% cotton, but a different brand from the stuff I used to make the owl hats. I am not as happy with this yarn because it is much thinner and I had to add extra rows. Next time I will order better yarn so the hat turns out better.
But all in all, I am happy with how it turned out and my son loves it! The first day he had it, he wore it around all day. He knows how to make this momma happy!
