Summer Soap Dispenser {Tutorial}

Around Christmas last year, I was looking for a fun homemade gift.  I wanted something simple, inexpensive, and fun.  I searched around on blogs and came across this sweet idea.  (I can't remember where I found it...sorry, it was pre-blogging days!)

 First, I made an image in photoshop, and copied it several times onto a sheet of paper.  I printed it out and took it to my local copy shop and had them copy it onto a transparency sheet.  (Don't print it onto a transparency using an inkjet printer - the ink won't dry and it will smear off the sheet.)

 You will also need a soap dispenser and some type of sticker remover.  I used Goo Gone.  It works really good.  I found it at Walmart. (It lasts for a while).

 I peeled the sticker off of both sides of the soap container.  There will be sticky goop left over.

 Spray the sticky stuff with Goo Gone and let it sit for about 5 minutes.  I like to do this in my kitchen sink, so I can just wash it all down the drain.  Wipe off the sticker with a rag or paper towel, then wash with soap and water (this will help get the remaining stickiness).

 Cut your transparency to fit the bottle.  I just hold it up and eyeball it.  You'll want it to be about as wide and tall as the bottle's main part.

 Here's a lovely picture of the clean bottle of soap. Tada!

 Roll the transparency up, with the image right side out.

 Stick it down in the soap and use the "straw" part to move the transparency around, so you can get it to the spot you want.

 Aren't they super cute?!  My son calls it "happy soap."  It's lots of fun and adds a little something extra to the bathroom decor.  (The total cost for me what < $2 since I already had the goo gone).
