Toddler Tuesday #5 {Homemade Slime}

I have a fabulous guest blogger today, sharing a really fun activity for kids.  The homemade slime looks like so much fun to make, and super duper fun to play with!  I will let Rach take it from here:

Hi! I'm Rach H blogging at Family Ever After, and I'm so happy to share this here at My Lil Pumpkin Patch!

Are your kids always on the lookout for a new craft to do at home? Well, here's a surprisingly easy project to do with your kiddos, and its cheap and easy! This slime has provided my kids with hours of fun! It was fun to do, especially around Halloween time. We made it about a week ago, and its still moist and perfect for them to play with. It was fun having a science experiment going on in our kitchen.

Here's how to make Homemade Slime:

you'll need-
2 tsp Borax
2 cups water
1 cup glue (about 2 bottles)
1 cup water
food coloring

directions-
Mix the borax and water in a bowl.
Mix the glue, water and food coloring in a separate bowl.
Now mix the ingredients of both bowls together.
That's it!
Store in a ziploc bag.

notes-
*I found Borax in the laundry aisle at Target. It was only $3. We now have enough to last for a lifetime of homemade slime!
*If you use the transparent glue, your slime will turn out shiny. I'm trying this next time!
*Make sure your kids know that this is not edible!!!
*Here's a link to the video I watched to learn how to make this:

I told the kids it was troll bogies (Harry Potter, anyone?) They thought it was hilarious!

Thanks so much Rach!  Doesn't it look like so much fun?!  Go check out her blog for more fun ideas!
