I found a yellow shirt at Walmart for $4. It had a pocket on the front that I didn't care for. Me and Mr. Seam Ripper solved that problem. There were little holes from where the thread was, but they disappeared after I washed it! I also found the doilies at Walmart in the cake section. (I've heard you can get doilies at the dollar store though, which would save you a dollar or so.) I used white fabric paint.

Yellow Doily Shirt
I went through this phase a few weeks ago of refashioning t-shirts. I got the idea for one from the blog, Maybe Matilda. (This link takes you directly to the tutorial for the Doily Shirt). She has so many cute refashions and tutorials! I could seriously look through her sight for hours!

This was so easy and I really enjoyed the whole process of it. And now I have a cheerful yellow shirt to wear!

Oh, I LOVE your shirt! I hadn't even thought of white doilies on a colorful shirt, but that came out so cute. Great job, and thanks for the link :-)
It turned out cute! I am getting ready to make a yellow shirt too... I LOVE that color:)
Okay, not only is the shirt super cute, but I absolutely love this photograph. Good work, mama!

This looks awesome. I really like the white on yellow look. I've pinned that project on maybe matilda so I can come back and make my own soon.

Great idea, and what a fun product! Thanks for sharing!
Very cute! Love it!
I LOVE this! I just did something where I was painting doilies and I just love the patterns... I'm impressed you didn't end up with doily pieces stuck to your shirt (I kept having issues like that because I was a slow little painter)! : )
I am totally going to have to try this one! Thanks for linking up with DIY under $5!
