I bought some straight peacock feathers at a sports store in the fly-tying section. There was a package for less than $2.
Lots of feathers, huh?! Well, I basically just hot glued the feathers to the bobby pin. I actually bent then around the bobby pin to make a clean edge and then wrapped a couple of strands around the top to secure things.
So easy!
